Test Donation Platforms¶
Send a test donation from Ko-fi or Buy Me a Coffee to verify your Zaplink connection.
Before you start¶
Make sure your donation platform is connected and its webhook is configured correctly in User Configuration.
Warning
Testing does not charge anyone and does not count toward Monthly Usage. However, a successful test may activate your shocker.
Test your Ko-fi integration¶

Ko-fi sends a test donation with an amount of $3. For Zaplink to trigger, you need a shocker configuration that matches this amount or includes it through its fallback range.
Test donations do not count toward your Monthly Usage.
- Make sure your Ko-fi integration is Active.
- Confirm that you have a shocker configuration that starts at $3 or includes $3 within its fallback range.
- Open the Ko-fi API / Webhooks page.
- Make sure your Zaplink webhook URL is saved there.
- Click Ko-fi's Send Single Tip Test button.
- Your shockers should activate by beeping first and then shocking, or by shocking immediately if the warning beep is disabled.
Test your Buy Me a Coffee integration¶

Buy Me a Coffee sends a test event with an amount of $5. For Zaplink to trigger, you need a shocker configuration that matches this amount or includes it through its fallback range.
Test donations do not count toward your Monthly Usage.
- Make sure your Buy Me a Coffee integration is Active.
- Confirm that you have a shocker configuration that starts at $5 or includes $5 within its fallback range.
- Open the Buy Me a Coffee Webhooks page.
- Open the webhook you created for Zaplink.
- Click Send Test Event.
- Select Support Created as the event.
- Click Send Test.
- Your shockers should activate by beeping first and then shocking, or by shocking immediately if the warning beep is disabled.
Test not being received?¶
Check the following:
- The webhook URL saved on your donation platform exactly matches the URL displayed by Zaplink.
- The verification token or signing secret saved in Zaplink belongs to the same webhook.
- For Buy Me a Coffee, Support Created is selected as the test event.
- Your shocker configuration includes the test amount:
- $3 for Ko-fi
- $5 for Buy Me a Coffee
- Your integration is shown as Active in Zaplink.
If the test is still not received, contact Zaplink support.
